Agnė, founder of Categorize My Expenses

Hey, I'm Agnė.

My first job was sweeping hair off the floor of my mom's salon. She's a hairstylist, and most of my family and community is self-employed or running a small business of their own. I got a front-row seat to all of it: the freedom of doing work on your own terms, and the behind-the-scenes work nobody talks about.

I'm a software engineer by profession, and on the side I've always freelanced and built my own projects. That meant filing my own Schedule C, staring at bank statements every spring, and Googling "is this deductible?" one too many times. So I built something to do the sorting for me.

I tried spreadsheets, I tried bookkeeping apps. Everything was either built for year-round accounting or cost more than it should for what I needed. I just wanted to upload a year of statements and get clean Schedule C categories back. That's it.

Categorize My Expenses takes your bank or credit card statements and sorts the transactions into Schedule C tax categories in minutes. I built it on my own, and I run it on my own. No team, no investors. Your data isn't sold or used for anything else. Just a simple tool that works, for the freelancers, the side hustlers, the sole proprietors who just want their expenses sorted so they can get back to work.
